Engagement shoot

This shoot was special to us.  We grew up with Emily.  Her mom started dating my dad when Emily was like three years old so she has always seemed like a sister to us.  Of course life changes and you dont get to see those special people as much as you would like so being able to shoot her engagement pictures was great time to catch up on old times.  Here is her preview.

An over due post

Yep I am guilty of not getting this blog post up sooner. Its only been a couple of months :-) Well here it is. This sweet little girl was so good for us. We thought going outside wouldn't work with it being chilly but she was a trooper and smiled the whole time. Such a happy baby. Here is her preview.

A little about us

I wanted to share a few family pictures of who is behind the scene when you go on a shoot with us. I will start with my family. I am the one who mostly is behind the camera. I am the one who see's a vision of art and has to capture it. I am the quiet one. I am Jen. Here is my family and some fun facts.

Lived in Utah for 7 years This is my sisters family. She is the not so quiet one. She is the one who will make you laugh and relax. She is the one who will be interacting with you to capture that perfect shot. She is Sarah. Here is her family and some fun facts.

Very patient I have always felt that kind of knowing your photographers before a photoshoot takes away some of the stresses so thats why I wanted to share a little about us.

2012

2012 is going to be a whole new year for us. We are getting our new business name together, branding and a new blog. Along with these changes we are announcing a new pricing plan. We feel we are no longer in the building a portfolio stage and are ready to venture out to try new things. If you think you may be interested in a shoot in 2012 book now before 2011 ends to secure the current prices or be able to choose the new package. The choice is yours. Three weeks new Skyler

This newborn was older than my usual newborns so we expected him to be tough. He was a fighter and stayed awake for most of the shoot. We worked with him and took mostly awake shots and he did well with them. This baby had some amazing neck strength. He could hold his head up better than most three month olds. We were impressed. The Keeling family

I always love taking pictures for this family because they have been with us since the beginning of my sister and I's photography journey. Always willing to give us a model to practice on. Now look how beautiful their family is. Brook all grown up and Wyatt as cute as can be. Enjoy your preview Keeling family.

McGuinness family

Its always fun to do sessions with people from our past. We actually went to school with this couple and now we got to meet their sweet little boy Jameson. He was so good. We started in the studio to get a few naked shots and then we headed to my favorite place to take pictures. Jameson was a trooper. The cold didn't seem to bother him. He was still as happy and as cute as could be. Enjoy their preview. I love this picture. If you are a parent you know that brief moment of silence you get when its just you and your loved one. A second to take a deep breath or maybe even shut your eyes. Then you realize thats not your life anymore and you start to miss all the little noises that come along with being parents. Then you see this picture and realize there is nothing more precious in this world then your family.

Sweet Lena

I had another adorable newborn a couple weeks ago. This baby was gorgeous! Her eyelashes were to die for and her complection was perfect. On the other hand she was a fighter. Didn't fall into a deep sleep. After trying to get her into a few of our favorite poses we decided to try the easies pose with their arms folded under their head and she disliked that one too. None of this mattered because the shots that we did get with her eyelashes made up for it. Here is Lena's preview. I told you about the eyelashes!
